Sony Unveils Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact at MWC 2018

Sony has just unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, at the Mobile World Congress tech show in Barcelona. Both phones sport very similar hardware, but with a few obvious exceptions with regards to their screen size and battery capacity. the Sony Xperia XZ2 announcement today was a relatively relaxed and short affair, but the devices pack quite a punch, nonetheless. Sony has gotten rid of the OmniBalance design language for the more modern 2:1 aspect ratio for both handsets, making them the first Sony smartphones to sport the elongated form-factor. Nokia 8 Sirocco is the company's new flagship smartphone. The smartphone succeeds Nokia 8 that launched in September last year. The most-powerful Android One smartphone till date, Nokia 8 Sirocco has a 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It has a curved edge-to-edge 5.5-inch pOLED 2K display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.  HMD Global is is bringing back another of classic Nokia phone, Nokia 8110. The company's yesteryear smartphone, sporting ‘banana phone’ design, has got a 4G Avatar. The slider handset now supports VoLTE calls and 4G connectivity. It runs on Smart Feature OS and is powered by Qualcomm 205 dual core processor, packs 4GB storage, 512MB LPDDR3 RAM. There's a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display and comes with a 2MP rear camera as well. The two most-awaited Android smartphones of 2018 were unveiled by South Korean tech giant Samsung yesterday at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are the latest flagship devices from Samsung’s stable.   Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset, Qualcomm's latest and most-powerful processor as of now. When it comes to display, there is no change in the size or resolution of the both the Galaxy S9 and S9+ over its predecessors. The Samsung Galaxy S9 sports a 5.8-inch curved QHD+ Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, just as the Galaxy S8. As for the bigger variant, the Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2-inch Quad HD + Curved Super AMOLED screen on-board. As expected, the Galaxy S9 has a 4GB RAM under the hood, whereas the Galaxy S9+ has 6GB RAM. Mobile World Congress   ( MWC ) 2018, the biggest telecom and mobile industry event in the world, is set for next week, from February 26 to March 1.
