After the Galaxy Fold and Z Flip, Samsung has launched its third smartphone with a foldable display-- Galaxy Z Fold 2. Samsung is offering some productivity features of the Galaxy Note 20 series along with what the company claims is bigger cover display, better quality ultra-thin foldable glass inside with a punch hole for selfie camera and 5G support. Samsung has also added a new hinge that allows the phone to be used as a laptop that allows the display to be tilted at different angles.   The cover display(outside display when folded) measures 6.2-inch. It offers HD+ 2260 x 816 pixels resolution. It’s a Super AMOLED display with 25:9 aspect ratio and 386ppi pixel density. The main foldable display is a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (2208 x 1768 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with an aspect ratio of 22.5:18 and 373ppi pixel density. Google I/O has just kicked off, and we’re already seeing a plethora of new software becoming available for users. One of the first new features announced at the opening keynote is Google Lens, which can help get you the information you need using recognition straight from your camera. Similar to how Samsung’s Bixby assistant works, Google Lens can pick up on imagery from your camera and use Assistant to pull the important information. You can do things like automatically connect to Wi-Fi with a quick snap of the SSID, and even show ratings for restaurants just by pointing your camera at them. Google is hoping to be able to recognize the important information you may want from the real world and help you get things done faster.

So it was a little baffling, at first blush, that Google - a search company, which makes its money from search   advertising   - would spend so much time talking about   Google Photos   , its photo-sharing service, and camera-related apps in general.
