Huawei Nova and Nova Plus smartphones unveiled

Huawei announced two new mid-tier smartphones during IFA 2016 in Berlin, including theHuawei Nova and the Huawei Nova Plus. The phones are relatively similar, and the target audience seems to be teens who need good battery life and who care a lot about selfies. Indeed, Huawei brought a fashion blogger on stage during its event to discuss selfie-snapping pictures.
The Huawei Nova and Nova Plus are similar in design, both sporting 2.5D glass, 360-degree diamond cut bevels, 1.8mm narrow bezels and Snapdragon 625 processors clocked at 2GHz. Both feature a fingerprint reader, which Huawei says is one of the most accurate ever. Other features include dual SIM support and microSD card slots.
The Nova Plus features a 5.5-inch 1080p display while the Nova sports a 5-inch screen.  The Nova offers up to 48 hours of battery life, while the Nova Plus, with its large 3340mAh battery, promises up to 52 hours of normal usage. The Nova has a 12MP camera while the Nova Plus sports a 16MP shooter with OIS.
On the software side, Huawei mostly focused on how the selfie camera’s software can make you look your best at all times with skin improvements and even a digital makeup option. I found that to be a bit weird.
Both phones sport 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Nova will retail for 399 Euro while the Nova Plus will sell for 429 Euros.
